The Gift Exchange

Skeletor receiving a Christmas gift from the Snake Men in a festive Masters of the Universe toy photography scene
Skeletor arrives to quiet the Snake Men’s Christmas party… only to be distracted by a very unexpected gift.

During a raucous Christmas party, in this whimsical Christmas toy photography short story, the Snake Men are interrupted by an irritated Skeletor—who arrives demanding that the festive noise stop immediately. But when Kobra Khan presents him with a personal gift, Skeletor is left stunned, distracted, and far less focused on ruining the celebration than he intended.

The music was the problem.

Not the decorations. Not the lights. Not even the ridiculous amount of tinsel draped over ancient stone and battle standards.

It was the music.

Laughter echoed through the chamber. Someone was clapping off-beat. A Snake Man attempted a carol with far too many hissing consonants.

That was when the doors slammed open.

“ENOUGH.”

The room froze.

Skeletor stood in the doorway, arms crossed, skull face twisted in disgust.

“All this… cheer,” he snarled. “The joy. The singing. The togetherness. It’s revolting. You’re giving me a headache.”

No one moved.

Kobra Khan stepped forward calmly, holding a small wrapped box.

“We’ll keep it down,” Khan said evenly. “But first… this.”

He held the gift out.

Skeletor blinked.

“…What.”

“A present,” Khan replied. “I picked it out myself.”

Silence.

Skeletor stared at the box as though it might explode. Or insult him. Or worse—mean something.

“You… got me something?” he asked slowly.

Khan nodded once.

Skeletor took the gift with visible suspicion, turning it over in his hands.

“…This changes nothing,” he muttered.

He turned to leave, then paused.

“…But you may continue.”

The door closed behind him.
The music didn’t get quieter.

It swelled—louder laughter, louder carols—while Skeletor stood in the hall, frozen in the glow of tiny lights, too distracted by his gift to complain.
